Elders as Partners in Education for Reconciliation

Chuntoh Education Society has received $90,000 from NIB Trust Fund, to support Elder Days and Elder-in-residence programs at four local schools! These funds are intended to ensure the consistent presence of Elders and Knowledge Holders in education institutions, as partners in Education for Reconciliation. As Elders and educators begin to investigate the possibilities of this co-teaching partnership, we will also be holding consultations to develop a Guideline to Working with Dakelhne Elders and Knowledge Holders. The completed document will facilitate continuation of these new relationships. On behalf of Chuntoh Education Society, local Elders, educators, and learners - THANK YOU to NIB Trust Fund!
