Field Trip to JPRF
A classroom with no walls.
Service Description
Spend a day exploring our natural world at the John Prince Research Forest, only 45 minutes north of Fort St James. We can create a custom adventure for your class based on their interests and your wishes. We work with local Elders to ensure an authentic Dakelh learning experience. Listen to stories in the pit house, explore medicinal plants on a nature walk, learn about ongoing research, explore tiny aquatic critters, or be amazed by the hummingbirds at the banding station. The Cinnabar Research Station within the JPRF hosts facilities, including washrooms, picnic tables, fire pit, warm up lunch room, indoor classroom, and covered outdoor classroom. Reach out to us for your next learning adventure.
