Our public Lake Science day was great. Thank you to everyone who came out despite the cold, cloudy, windy day. Thank you to Dennis for sharing your stories. It was wonderful to have the First Nation perspective. Thank you to Karen for volunteering your time to help things run smoothly. A big thank you to NSERC Science Odyssey for funding this week's event. Musi Cho!
We tested the pH and dissolved oxygen of the water. We found a very cool giant water bug. We heard stories of the little people. One participant requested that we do it all again - preferably when the ice has been out more than two days so we can find more critters. So we'll plan to see you all back at the lake later in the season.
