Fort St. James Secondary Students have a brand new Bobcat compact loader! This will allow G8-12 learners to develop job readiness skills in workplace safety and heavy equipment training. The loader will also be used in coordination with the school's portable saw mill: moving, grading and stacking wood. As part of a larger project, they will be using this new equipment to build a timber-framed outdoor classroom over the portable mill. This structure will be duplicated in future years for other schools throughout BC School District 91.
Many thanks to RBC Future Launch for their $25,000 investment in helping our students get relevant work experience that will prepare them for future employment!
